Delhi University introduces specialized certification curriculum in AI-driven filmmaking

The University of Delhi formally rolled out an innovative professional certification diploma course centered on Artificial Intelligence-driven filmmaking, creative media production, and synthetic cinematography. Offered through the university’s Department of Adult, Continuing Education and Extension in partnership with premier media institutes, the specialized multi-disciplinary curriculum trains aspiring filmmakers in leveraging generative machine learning tools for screenwriting, concept visualization, virtual production, and sound design.

Academic coordinators explained that the coursework combines hands-on studio production workshops with rigorous critical seminars on intellectual property rights, automated image licensing, and creative authorship ethics. Students will learn to interface generative video rendering models with traditional cinematic workflows, including motion capture cameras, digital editing suites, and practical lighting design.

Film industry practitioners and digital media veterans welcomed the academic initiative, emphasizing that rapid technological advancements in generative video require formal educational platforms to teach responsible and technically proficient media practices.
