MEA condemns drone and missile attacks targeting international airports in Riyadh

India’s Ministry of External Affairs issued an unequivocal condemnation following coordinated drone and ballistic missile strikes directed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and regional facilities in Abha. Diplomatic officials expressed profound concern over aerial bombardments aimed squarely at civilian transport corridors, noting that such hostile acts gravely endanger commercial transit hubs and regional stability.

The external affairs spokesperson emphasized that thousands of Indian expatriates reside and work across Saudi urban centers, making airport safety a paramount bilateral priority. The official communiqué underscored that New Delhi stands firmly in solidarity with the government and citizens of Saudi Arabia against unprovoked aggression threatening commercial civil aviation networks.

Regional defense analysts pointed out that escalating cross-border drone incursions into Saudi airspace threaten maritime supply routes and international flight passages over the Arabian Peninsula. India reiterated its steadfast call for a comprehensive cessation of hostile actions and urged adherence to international humanitarian conventions protecting civilian airspace.
