IICA and AIPE jointly organise National Conference themed Redefining India’s Restructuring Ecosystem

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and the Association of Insolvency Professionals jointly hosted a national conference in New Delhi on redefining India’s restructuring ecosystem. Panels addressed cross-border insolvency, pre-pack frameworks and professional ethics for insolvency practitioners.

Regulators discussed aligning the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code with newer company law amendments affecting related-party transactions. Lenders sought faster timelines for asset sales while worker unions demanded salary protection during proceedings.

Academics presented comparative studies from Europe and Southeast Asia on creditor committees and debtor-in-possession models. Technology vendors demonstrated case management dashboards intended to reduce courtroom adjournments.

Organizers said outcomes will feed into consultation papers shaping secondary legislation expected later this year.
