ISRO released 3D topographical reconstruction models of lunar impact basins generated from stereo imaging cameras aboard the lunar spacecraft, revealing structural features with sub-meter spatial precision.

Aerospace engineers affirmed that high-fidelity terrain models are essential for programming autonomous hazard detection and avoidance systems on robotic lunar landers.
