External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with the visiting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, in New Delhi on Tuesday to conduct extensive bilateral discussions aimed at deepening strategic, financial, and high-technology partnerships.

The diplomatic meeting at Hyderabad House covered comprehensive facets of the bilateral relationship, with both delegations focusing on expanding institutional linkages between the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and GIFT City in Gujarat. Jaishankar and Bettel reviewed ongoing technical collaborations in quantum computing architectures, commercial satellite payload deployment, and green digital financing mechanisms.

Both ministers welcomed the rapid expansion of joint ventures in cold-chain logistics, medical equipment manufacturing, and international asset management. The two dignitaries also exchanged perspectives on regional security dynamics across the Indo-Pacific and Eastern Europe, reaffirming their mutual commitment to a rules-based international order and multilateral institutional reform.

Bettel commended India’s technological leadership and digital public infrastructure, noting that Luxembourg enterprises are increasingly eager to channel capital into India’s sustainable infrastructure funds. Following the delegation-level deliberations, both sides finalized bilateral working agreements to enhance academic exchanges and bilateral intellectual property protections.
