Defence Secretary launches new DBIM-compliant MoD and DoD websites in 22 Indian languages

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh officially inaugurated modernized digital web portals for the Ministry of Defence and Department of Defence, built in strict compliance with DBIM 3.0 and GIGW 3.0 digital governance frameworks. The redesigned platforms provide seamless public access to defense procurement notifications, official communiques, and recruitment portals across all twenty-two constitutionally recognized Indian languages.

Engineered by the National Informatics Centre, the revamped architecture incorporates advanced cybersecurity shields, responsive mobile-first layouts, and robust screen-reader accessibility standards for citizens with disabilities. The integration of automated multilingual neural translation modules ensures that defense press announcements and statutory tenders are instantly available to citizens nationwide in their regional mother tongues.

Launching the platforms in New Delhi, the Defence Secretary stated that digital inclusivity, linguistic equity, and institutional transparency are central tenets of India’s modernized defense administrative apparatus. Senior defense officials affirmed that the portals will serve as unified digital gateways for defense veterans, industrial vendors, and researchers seeking verified national defense information.
