Philadelphia Flyers star forward Travis Konecny made an electric return to the ice after missing three weeks with an upper-body injury, scoring a goal and adding an assist to propel the Flyers to an energetic 6-3 victory over the Utah Mammoth at Wells Fargo Center. Konecny energized the home crowd early in the second period, burying a one-timer from the right circle on the power play to give Philadelphia a lead they would not relinquish.
Flyers head coach John Tortorella praised Konecny’s relentless competitive drive and infectious energy, noting that his presence elevated the performance of the entire forward group. Rookie sensation Matvei Michkov also starred for the Flyers, recording two assists and setting up Owen Tippett for an insurance goal in the third period. The Mammoth fought valiantly behind two goals from Clayton Keller but could not overcome Philadelphia’s relentless forechecking pressure, handing the Flyers a needed home victory.
