Live: Iran suspends talks with U.S. over Israel’s Lebanon strikes

Stakeholders responded on June 1, 2026 after Tehran paused mediator messages with Washington as Lebanon violence continued. Iran’s Tasnim news agency said on June 1, 2026 that Tehran halted message exchanges with Washington through mediators because of Israeli strikes in Lebanon.

Related filings and briefings added that iranian state television warned the U.S.-Iran ceasefire could end if attacks on Lebanon continue.

Parallel announcements clarified that foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote on X that any ceasefire violation on one front breaches the agreement on all fronts.

Subsequent updates explained that kuwait reported intercepting missiles and drones on June 1 while the U.S. military said it downed two Iranian missiles aimed at forces in Kuwait.

Separately, pakistan has served as a mediator channel between Washington and Tehran, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said.

In addition, u.S. Central Command reported additional self-defence strikes on Iranian radar sites over the weekend.

The same reports noted that iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on X that ceasefire violations on any front breach the entire U.S.-Iran truce.

Authorities also said oil benchmarks rose more than 2% on June 1 as markets priced supply risk from the Lebanon and Hormuz fronts.

Observers will watch whether follow-up orders alter the current framework.
