SpaceX Raised 75 Billion Dollars in Capital Expenditure for AI Business in Q1 2026 Alone

SpaceX spent 7.7 billion dollars on capital expenditure for its AI business in the first quarter of 2026 alone, a sharp acceleration from 12.7 billion dollars for all of 2025.

The investment reflects Elon Musk’s push to expand data centers, model training and infrastructure for the xAI segment included in the public offering.

SpaceX raised 75 billion dollars in its June 12 IPO, providing substantial capital for both rocket operations and AI development.

The xAI segment posted a 6.36 billion dollar operating loss in 2025 on 3.2 billion dollars in revenue, according to regulatory filings.
