India Participates in Global Push for Inclusive AI Governance at International Forum

Indian delegates at an international forum pushed for inclusive artificial intelligence governance frameworks that ensure developing countries share in compute access, talent pipelines and safety standards.

Representatives argued that rule-making dominated by wealthy nations could lock in dependencies on foreign cloud providers and marginalize local language models.

New Delhi proposed multilateral funding for open datasets, regional test beds and dispute-resolution mechanisms for cross-border algorithmic harm.

Technology policy analysts said India’s intervention reflects its ambition to be a bridge state between Global South priorities and G7 regulatory initiatives.
