Miraggio Opens First Standalone Store at VR Mall Chennai as Brand Expands Offline

Digital-first handbag brand Miraggio has opened its first standalone retail store at VR Mall in Chennai, marking the company’s entry into offline retail as part of a broader omnichannel expansion strategy.

The store, announced on May 20, showcases the brand’s range of handbags and accessories designed for work, travel and everyday use. Located on the ground floor of VR Chennai in Anna Nagar, the outlet operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and features a contemporary retail layout with neutral tones and illuminated display sections.

Founder and CEO Mohit Jain said customers had consistently expressed interest in experiencing Miraggio products in person. India remains a market where offline retail plays a critical role in building consumer trust, particularly for premium accessories, he said.

Miraggio plans to open more than 10 stores across major metropolitan cities during the current financial year. The brand has scaled rapidly as a direct-to-consumer business and is positioning physical retail as a key driver of growth and brand equity alongside its online channels on its own website and marketplaces.

Miraggio founder Mohit Jain described the Chennai opening as a strategic inflection point for the brand. The store interior uses curved architectural elements and soft neutral tones aligned with the company’s digital aesthetic. Future outlets will target premium retail environments in key metro markets across India.
