7,000 CRPF personnel redeployed from Bengal and Chhattisgarh to reinforce Delhi security

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the swift redeployment of seventy companies of the Central Reserve Police Force, comprising approximately seven thousand personnel, from West Bengal and Chhattisgarh to reinforce security across New Delhi. The paramilitary contingents were mobilized in coordination with Delhi Police to secure vital administrative sectors, transit hubs, and government buildings ahead of planned civil demonstrations.

Security commanders positioned multi-layered barricades, riot-control vehicles, and automated surveillance drones around central venues including Jantar Mantar, India Gate, and the perimeter of the Parliament complex. Specialized anti-riot formations and rapid action platoons were placed on standby to manage potential traffic blockades and unpermitted protest marches throughout the national capital.

Senior police officials noted that the strategic redeployment guarantees sufficient operational depth while local police precincts manage routine neighborhood policing and festival crowd control. The heightened vigilance measures will remain operational throughout the week to maintain civic tranquility and facilitate unobstructed public transportation across central corridors.
