Artificial intelligence startup Liquid AI formally launched its next-generation LFM3 family of compact foundation models, designed specifically to operate locally on enterprise-controlled endpoint hardware. By abandoning traditional transformer architectures in favor of dynamic non-transformer dynamical systems, the models achieve substantial improvements in computational efficiency, memory footprint, and processing speed across edge devices, laptops, and localized servers.
The LFM3 model series equips local enterprise devices with multimodal capabilities, including responsive voice command execution, high-precision image recognition, and autonomous browser navigation agents that operate entirely within local networks. Running complex agentic workflows directly on edge devices enables organizations to bypass cloud bandwidth bottlenecks, lower recurring inference costs, and satisfy stringent data sovereignty regulations. Liquid AI stated that the models are now accessible to commercial partners across healthcare, financial services, and industrial manufacturing sectors, empowering engineering teams to deploy private, offline-capable intelligence across diverse corporate hardware environments.
