Palestine Action Activist Samuel Corner Sentenced to Seven Years for Bristol Elbit Systems Raid

A British court sentenced Palestine Action activist Samuel Corner to seven years in prison Thursday for his role in raiding an Elbit Systems facility in Bristol.

Prosecutors said Corner participated in a coordinated break-in targeting the defense contractor’s plant, causing damage and disrupting operations.

Elbit supplies equipment used in overseas conflicts, making its UK sites frequent venues for antiwar protests and criminal trespass prosecutions.

Supporters called the sentence harsh for politically motivated direct action, while the company welcomed what it termed accountability for unlawful entry.

Corner’s allies vowed to continue campaigning against arms manufacturing tied to Middle East military operations.
