LBPD Blotter – June 14 2026: No-hit Shooting in the 1400 Block of Gaviota Ave

Long Beach police investigated a no-hit shooting Saturday in the 1400 block of Gaviota Avenue after callers reported gunfire, the department’s daily blotter shows.

Officers located evidence that shots were fired, but both the suspected shooter and any intended target had left before patrol units secured the block.

Detectives collected shell casings and reviewed private cameras in the neighborhood to reconstruct vehicle or foot traffic during the incident.

No injuries were reported, yet authorities treat no-hit shootings as serious public-safety events because stray rounds endanger bystanders.

Residents were asked to report any suspicious activity from the overnight hours to the Long Beach tip line.
