Apple refreshed its popular all-in-one desktop family on Tuesday by launching an upgraded 24-inch iMac powered by the high-performance M6 processor. The redesigned desktop maintains the slim enclosure and vibrant multi-color aesthetic of its predecessor while integrating substantial internal hardware enhancements. According to company technical specifications, the M6 silicon delivers up to 40 percent faster central processing speeds and up to five times greater on-device artificial intelligence performance compared to the earlier M4 iMac model.
Connectivity also received substantial upgrades with the introduction of Apple’s custom N1 wireless networking chip, which provides expanded Wi-Fi bandwidth, ultra-low latency connections, and enhanced Bluetooth protocol support. In addition, the desktop workstation incorporates upgraded multi-gigabit Ethernet capabilities across its power supply brick, accommodating heavy data ingestion and cloud collaboration for creative studios and enterprise offices. The 24-inch 4.5K Retina display now offers an optional nano-texture glass coating to mitigate glare in brightly lit work environments, making the desktop a versatile solution for home and office settings.
