Commercial LPG cylinder price hiked by ₹10 in Delhi ahead of Diwali

Commercial catering enterprises and restaurant operators across the National Capital Region faced higher utility overhead as fuel marketing conglomerates increased 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder prices for the third consecutive month. The ten-rupee upward adjustment took effect across wholesale distribution networks on November 1, lifting commercial cylinder rates to 2,820 rupees in Delhi just as sweetmakers and catering vendors prepared for peak Diwali festival demand. Despite the commercial increase, state authorities confirmed that domestic cooking gas cylinder prices for residential kitchens remain strictly capped.

Industry trade representatives pointed out that cumulative fuel tariff hikes over recent months have placed sustained financial strain on small food service vendors operating on thin seasonal profit margins. Market analysts attributed the commercial fuel revision to firming international benchmark propane and butane quotations across Asian commodity exchanges. Business owners across wholesale food markets indicated they would absorb the marginal price increase where feasible to maintain competitive holiday sales volumes during peak consumer shopping periods.
