De’Aaron Fox High-Ankle Sprain Limits Spurs Star in Game 1 of NBA Finals vs Knicks

The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 105-95 in Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals on June 3, their first championship-round appearance since 1999.

Jalen Brunson scored 30 points, including a late clutch basket. Josh Hart posted a triple-double with 15 rebounds and six assists while Karl-Anthony Towns repeatedly drove past a fatigued Victor Wembanyama.

De’Aaron Fox played through a high-ankle sprain but was limited as San Antonio’s bench struggled. Game 2 was scheduled for June 5 in San Antonio.

Former Knicks stars including Patrick Ewing attended practices to support the current roster as New York pursued a 13th consecutive playoff win.
