Google extends free nationwide AI literacy training for Indian teachers through September 30

Technology giant Google announced on Thursday that it is extending its nationwide complimentary artificial intelligence skilling program for Indian educators through September 30, responding to massive registration demand from school boards and higher educational institutions. The interactive initiative aims to empower classroom instructors with practical fluency in prompt engineering, automated grading workflows, and ethical AI integration.

The training curriculum, developed in partnership with premier educational councils and the Ministry of Education, offers certified masterclasses delivered in eight regional Indian languages. Participating teachers learn to deploy generative AI tools to design personalized learning plans, generate contextual STEM problem sets, and evaluate student submissions while actively identifying automated plagiarism and digital misinformation.

Educational technology coordinators highlighted that over two hundred thousand government and private school educators have already completed foundational certification modules. Google confirmed that additional weekend workshops and digital resource repositories will remain openly accessible to help teachers transform traditional pedagogical techniques into AI-augmented learning environments.
