Moradabad police arrest man for circulating abusive video targeting UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Police authorities in Moradabad district apprehended an individual accused of producing and widely circulating a defamatory and inflammatory video clip targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath across digital platforms. The arrest followed complaints lodged by local civic groups who flagged the vitriolic content for inciting communal discord and attempting to disturb public order.

Cyber crime investigators tracked the digital footprint and Internet Protocol addresses used to upload the objectionable multimedia files, leading directly to the suspect’s residence within the district. Officers seized the mobile smartphone utilized to record and edit the offensive footage, registering criminal charges under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

District police leadership issued a public advisory cautioning internet users against generating or forwarding abusive material targeting constitutional dignitaries, warning that electronic surveillance units are continuously monitoring social media channels. The apprehended suspect was presented before a judicial magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody pending trial.
