Pakistan conducts precision strikes on 10 locations in Afghanistan after shooting down eight drones

Pakistani combat aircraft executed a series of coordinated precision aerial bombardments against ten designated target clusters inside Afghan territory following the interception of eight hostile reconnaissance and attack drones. Military spokespersons in Islamabad confirmed that the retaliatory sorties struck command nodes and ordnance depots operated by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan operatives along border provinces.

Defense ministry communiques highlighted that recent insurgent drone incursions into Pakistani airspace represented an unacceptable technological escalation that necessitated decisive countermeasures. Air defense battalions deployed along the northwestern frontier successfully neutralized the unmanned platforms using electronic warfare countermeasures and mobile missile batteries before launching the cross-border strikes.

In Kabul, Afghan Taliban spokesmen condemned the airstrikes as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, alleging that munitions struck agrarian villages and caused non-combatant casualties. The cross-border escalation has heightened regional security anxieties, prompting calls from neighboring governments for immediate diplomatic restraint and border deconfliction.
