PM to Inaugurate Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026

The Press Information Bureau announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the four-day Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, convening global energy ministers, multinational investors, and clean-tech innovators in New Delhi. The international summit will host official delegations from more than 130 countries, serving as a premier international platform to showcase India’s rapid strides in solar generation, offshore wind energy, and green hydrogen production. The event aims to accelerate international capital investment into emerging market clean energy infrastructure.

The international exhibition will feature specialized technical symposiums focusing on next-generation battery storage systems, decentralized solar grids, and regulatory frameworks for cross-border carbon credit trading. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy officials emphasized that the summit aligns directly with India’s ambitious target of achieving 500 gigawatts of non-fossil power generation capacity before the end of the decade. Global delegates are expected to finalize bilateral clean technology partnerships and joint development agreements to advance global decarbonization goals.
