SpaceX Falcon 9 launches early morning Starlink mission from California

SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California during the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The mission deployed a payload of twenty-seven Starlink broadband satellites into low Earth orbit, advancing the aerospace company’s efforts to expand high-speed global internet coverage to underserved and remote geographical territories.

Following stage separation approximately two and a half minutes into flight, the reusable first-stage booster conducted controlled entry and landing burns, executing a vertical touchdown on the autonomous drone ship Of Course I Still Love You stationed offshore in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX confirmed nominal orbital insertion for the satellite cluster shortly after the upper stage engine completed its second burn. The successful operation marked another milestone in the company’s cadence of orbital satellite deployment missions.
