SpaceX IPO Market Cap Surpasses Two Trillion Dollars on Nasdaq Debut Day

SpaceX’s market capitalization surpassed two trillion dollars on its Nasdaq debut day, making it one of the most valuable companies in the world.

The stock opened at 150 dollars after the IPO priced 555.6 million shares at 135 dollars, and closed regular trading near 161. The 75 billion dollar raise set a global record for IPO proceeds.

Trading began under the ticker SPCX just before 10 a.m. on June 12. Elon Musk’s net worth exceeded 1.2 trillion dollars, making him the world’s first trillionaire.

Analysts at Morningstar later questioned whether the valuation fully reflects current revenue levels across SpaceX’s aerospace and xAI segments.
