Three Indian nationals repatriated from Kenya following kidnapping ordeal

Three Indian nationals who were abducted by an armed criminal syndicate on the outskirts of Nairobi arrived safely in New Delhi on Thursday following an intensive inter-agency rescue and diplomatic repatriation operation. The victims had been taken captive during an armed interception of their logistics convoy earlier this month, prompting immediate high-level diplomatic intervention.

The Indian High Commission in Nairobi coordinated closely with Kenyan national intelligence directors, local law enforcement task forces, and community elders to track down the hostage holding location. Kenyan security units executed a coordinated tactical cordon, securing the unconditional release of the captives without any loss of life or payment of ransom.

Following comprehensive medical screenings and psychological debriefings in Nairobi, the repatriated citizens were issued emergency travel credentials and escorted home aboard a commercial flight. Relatives expressed profound relief at Indira Gandhi International Airport as external affairs ministry representatives commended the swift cooperation demonstrated by Kenyan law enforcement partners.
