India and Seychelles Sign Multiple MoUs Covering UPI Payments Health Agriculture Space and Extradition

India and Seychelles have signed a series of Memoranda of Understanding spanning a broad range of sectors during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to the island nation.

The agreements cover areas including UPI-based digital payments, health, agriculture, space cooperation and extradition. Together they are aimed at deepening collaboration on the digital economy, trade and security matters between the two countries.

The inclusion of UPI reflects India’s ongoing push to extend its digital payments architecture internationally, while the extradition arrangement signals closer cooperation on law enforcement and the handling of fugitives.

The package of accords formed a substantive component of the visit, translating the goodwill of the diplomatic engagement into concrete frameworks for cooperation across multiple fields.
