LK Advani discharged from Apollo Hospital after chest infection

Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani was discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi on Monday following successful treatment for a chest infection. Hospital authorities confirmed that the 98-year-old leader’s clinical health indicators had stabilized satisfactorily, enabling medical specialists to sanction his return home to continue his recovery.

Advani was admitted to the healthcare facility days earlier after experiencing severe respiratory discomfort, cough, and fever. A multidisciplinary clinical team led by senior pulmonologists, critical care specialists, and geriatric physicians closely managed his condition, administering targeted antibiotic therapy and supportive pulmonary treatments that successfully brought the infection under control.

Political leaders across party lines had conveyed wishes for the senior statesman’s swift recuperation during his hospitalization. Attending medical specialists advised the veteran leader to observe complete rest, maintain regulated physical activity, and limit public interaction while remaining under regular medical observation at his residence.
